Cristina Carvalho was born in Lisbon on November 10, 1949. In the course of her work, she got in touch with thousands of people and visited countless countries. But Scandinavia and the west of Portugal are the regions that she loves the most and which have the greatest influence in her imagination and personality as a transient female human being, an inhabitant of planet Earth and, by chance, a writer. She is the author of sixteen published books, many of which included in the Portuguese Reading Scheme (PNL) for different education levels. She received the SPA/RTP 2016 Autores Award in the category of Best Narrative Fiction Book for her work The Look And The Soul, Modigliani’s Story.
